A ribbon of sunshine for long spaces. This bright yellow runner is outlined with a fine black dotted border, and inside, rows of hand-woven Berber symbols – arrows, crosses, zigzags and diamonds in pink, blue, red, orange and black – march from end to end.

Why you'll love it

  • Brightens dark hallways and turns a corridor into a feature.
  • Symbol-rich design – each motif a traditional Amazigh sign.
  • Low, practical flatweave for kitchens, entries and stairs landings.

The heritage of the Moroccan kilim

A kilim (in Morocco often called hanbel) is a flat-woven rug with no pile: the coloured weft threads are packed tightly over the warp to form the design. Amazigh weavers across the Middle and High Atlas have made them for centuries as floor rugs, blankets, tent dividers and saddle covers.

The flat weave favours geometry: bands, stripes, diamonds, triangles and small symbols arranged in horizontal registers. Patterns are passed down from mother to daughter and vary from one tribe and valley to the next.

Light, reversible on many pieces and easy to move, the Moroccan kilim is ideal for dining rooms, hallways and busy family spaces.
