Moroccan Kilim & Flatweave Rugs
Flatweave rugs, called hanbel or kilim in Morocco, have no pile. The pattern is woven directly into the structure, which makes them thin, light and in many cases reversible. They are the practical choice under a dining table, in an entryway or anywhere chairs and doors need to move freely.
Flatweaves are easy to vacuum, quick to air out and simple to roll up and move. A rug pad keeps them flat and stops them from sliding on hard floors.
