Quiet luxury, Berber style. Four slender dark lines rise through a creamy ivory pile, branching into tribal forks and meeting around a single central diamond – a minimal, almost architectural drawing in wool. It brings calm and character to a room in equal measure.
Why you'll love it
- Elegant restraint – just enough pattern to add depth, never enough to compete with your furniture or art.
- Luxuriously thick pile – hand-knotted from 100% natural sheep wool, with a soft, slightly shaggy hand.
- Uniquely yours – woven to order in your size; the hand-drawn lines make every rug one of a kind.
Style it
A natural partner for Japandi and wabi-sabi interiors: light timber, stoneware, linen bedding and warm, low lighting.

The heritage of Beni Ourain rugs
Beni Ourain is the name of a confederation of Amazigh (Berber) tribes living in the cold, high valleys of the Middle Atlas. For generations, the women of these communities wove thick, deep-pile rugs from the wool of their own sheep, rugs used as bedding and blankets during snowy winters as much as floor coverings.
The classic palette is the natural ivory of undyed wool, drawn with dark brown or black lines. Diamonds, lozenges and zigzags are the most common motifs; weavers worked them from memory, so no two rugs are identical and small asymmetries are a mark of the hand, not a flaw.
In the twentieth century, modernist architects and designers brought Beni Ourain rugs into European and American interiors, where their soft texture and graphic lines became a signature of mid-century and minimalist design.
