Faded denim meets desert color. The field is a heathered blue-and-white weave that looks like sun-washed indigo, crossed by a delicate hand-drawn diamond lattice. Down each side, crimson and violet triangles alternate with ivory, giving the calm center a bold, graphic frame.

Why you'll love it

  • Relaxed and lived-in – the melange texture forgives footprints, pet hair and everyday life.
  • A color story that works – blue, red and purple tie together denim sofas, wood floors and vintage art.
  • Handwoven flatweave – light, durable and easy to move, wash or rotate.

Style it

Lovely in a beach house, a teen's room or a family den. Pair with crisp white, natural rattan and a pop of red in a cushion or print.

The heritage of the Moroccan kilim

A kilim (in Morocco often called hanbel) is a flat-woven rug with no pile: the coloured weft threads are packed tightly over the warp to form the design. Amazigh weavers across the Middle and High Atlas have made them for centuries as floor rugs, blankets, tent dividers and saddle covers.

The flat weave favours geometry: bands, stripes, diamonds, triangles and small symbols arranged in horizontal registers. Patterns are passed down from mother to daughter and vary from one tribe and valley to the next.

Light, reversible on many pieces and easy to move, the Moroccan kilim is ideal for dining rooms, hallways and busy family spaces.
