Less, but better. A soft beige-and-stone melange is left almost entirely quiet, broken only by a single chain of fine dark diamonds running down the center and pale triangles along the edges. It's the kind of rug that makes a room feel finished without asking for attention.

Why you'll love it

  • Japandi-ready neutral that pairs with oak, linen, plaster and black accents.
  • Made for long spaces – especially beautiful as a hallway or bedside runner.
  • Handwoven flatweave – thin, sturdy and easy to care for.

Style it

Run it along a hallway, lay it beside a low platform bed, or ground a minimal living room with a cream sofa and a single sculptural lamp.

The heritage of the Moroccan kilim

A kilim (in Morocco often called hanbel) is a flat-woven rug with no pile: the coloured weft threads are packed tightly over the warp to form the design. Amazigh weavers across the Middle and High Atlas have made them for centuries as floor rugs, blankets, tent dividers and saddle covers.

The flat weave favours geometry: bands, stripes, diamonds, triangles and small symbols arranged in horizontal registers. Patterns are passed down from mother to daughter and vary from one tribe and valley to the next.

Light, reversible on many pieces and easy to move, the Moroccan kilim is ideal for dining rooms, hallways and busy family spaces.
